Main Event: OSU dreaming of Fiesta Bowl
Only a Bedlam victory and a Texas Big 12 championship stands between the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Fiesta Bowl.
Multiple sources confirmed that the Fiesta stands ready to select OSU, provided the Cowboys beat Oklahoma on Saturday in Norman and Texas goes on to win the Big 12 title.
A Bedlam victory would lift the No. 12th-ranked Cowboys to a 10-2 record and into the elite pool of teams contending for the four at-large berths in the Bowl Championship Series.
Fiesta Bowl executive director John Junker stopped short of confirming his game would take a 10-2 OSU but did say, "we have to look seriously at Oklahoma State if they won the game ... a 10-win team in the Big 12."
