PAULS VALLEY (AP) — The man accused of murdering another man and dismembering his body has testified about some of the grisly details of the crime.

Justin Hammer is accused of killing Brandon Duran in 2012, dismembering him and putting his body parts in buckets of cement. Investigators say Hammer shot Duran in the face with a shotgun. Hammer has pleaded not guilty and says he shot Duran in self-defense.

Hammer testified Wednesday that he shot Duran twice. An Oklahoma City television reports that Hammer then detailed how he cut up and disposed of the body.

Hammer says he was afraid of Duran because he thought he was a member of the “Banditos” motorcycle gang. Duran’s mother previously testified her son was not a member of any gang.
