A man accused of killing a pedestrian in a hit-and-run accident earlier this year was arrested Friday in Oklahoma City, authorities said.

Leonard Bailey, 61, is charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident and causing an accident without a driver's license.

According to court records, Bailey is suspected of being the driver in a March 27 wreck that killed Lee Michael Day, 38. Day was walking on NW 10 near Western Avenue when a car jumped the curb and hit him, witnesses told police.

The car drove away, but witnesses took down its tag number.

Bailey was being held Friday at the Oklahoma County jail. has disabled the comments for this article.
