An Oklahoma City man was arrested Tuesday after a woman told police he threatened to kill Gov. Mary Fallin.
Matthew Johnson, 27, was arrested on a complaint of threatening a violent act.
Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said a concerned person called the police department and told officers Johnson said he wanted to kill the governor because he was upset marijuana is illegal in Oklahoma.
“She thought it was a credible enough threat to report,” Wardlow said.
Police arrested Johnson at his home and recovered one live .380 round but no gun.
Court records show Johnson was convicted of domestic assault and battery in 2012.
