A man accused of robbing an Oklahoma City hotel early Monday was taken down by a police dog before being arrested, police said

The Plaza Inn, 3200 S Prospect Ave., was robbed about 5:40 a.m. Monday. A woman working the front desk at the hotel said the robber was armed with a gun and was wearing a small white towel over the bottom half of his face.

The man jumped over the counter and demanded money from the cash register, according to police reports.

After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the robber fled. He jumped a fence on the north side of the building and got into an older model sedan.

Police stopped the car, and a man led them on a foot chase that ended near SE 48 and Sooner Road when a K-9 took the man down, police spokesman Master Sgt. Gary Knight said.
