Neither driver was hurt.

About 3 p.m. Sunday, a woman was driving north on Shields when a man threw a brick at the passenger’s side of her windshield, Oklahoma City police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said. The woman continued driving and called 911.

A few minutes later, a man threw a rock through the windshield of another car traveling on Shields, Knight said. The driver got out and confronted the man.

“I got out like a fool. He come at me with a knife,” Debra Napzer told police. “I grabbed his arms to keep from sticking me. I said, ‘Why did you do this?’ He said, ‘I’m going to do what they did to me.’ He had blood all over him.”

Napzer told police the man tried to steal her purse before fleeing on foot.

Danny Gene Byars, 21, of Oklahoma City was arrested in connection with the rock-throwing incident and attempted purse theft.

"He come at me with a knife"... I'm glad she's okay, but sounds like a book on grammar might have hurt just as bad. How about castration for Mr. Danny Gene Byars? Surely he shouldn't be allowed to breed.

You may have gotten out like a fool, but you came out like a hero in my book! Not recommended for most, but congratulations to you! I'm glad he got caught.
