Daniel Green often paced his driveway or walked the streets of his southeast Oklahoma City neighborhood.

Green put neighbors on edge, but they did not expect what was coming.

Police arrested Green, 40, after four relatives — including a baby boy and a teenage girl — were found dead at the Green home Wednesday night.

Thursday morning, bloody footprints dotted the welcome mat and front porch at 4601 SE 79, in the addition called Sunny Pointe.

Killed were Sallie Green, 57; Rebecca Cizek, 34; Katherine Cizek, 16; and Amario Dominguez III, 7 months.

Neighbors said another relative found the family members dead and ran outside. The chilling discovery led to a manhunt.

Titus Story, who lives a few houses down, said he was watching a movie at home Wednesday night when he saw lights flashing outside about 11:30 p.m. He thought nothing of the ambulance. Then police cars arrived and officers wrapped crime scene tape around the area.

Story's thoughts turned immediately to Daniel Green.

“Is there a guy in there about 40 years old?” Story said he and a neighbor asked police. “We wanted to know because he always walked everywhere and he didn't walk far. We didn't know if he was out and about, roaming around.”

Police wouldn't answer the question because the investigation was ongoing.

“It's understandable,” Story said.

Some in the neighborhood felt unsafe, but others didn't. Story has a concealed carry permit, which isn't uncommon in the neighborhood of single-story brick starter homes occupied by young and military families. He worried Green might be hiding in his shed.

Story turned in, but went back outside about 4 a.m. His neighbor, who had stayed up to monitor the situation, told Story that police had picked up Green.

Helicopters searched the area Wednesday night, Story said. Police visited convenience stores in the area and asked clerks to call 911 if a person matching Green's description showed up.

He did.

Officers arrested Green a short distance from a convenience store, though it isn't clear when. A police report states Green was picked up in traffic “a short distance away.” He was booked in Oklahoma County jail on four complaints of murder after an interview at police headquarters. He remained at the jail Thursday evening, an official there said.

Few details were released about the crime Thursday.

The victims died due to “injuries consistent with homicide,” a police department news release states.
