A man was arrested Saturday morning after shooting at an Oklahoma City police officer, police said.
An officer pulled over a vehicle to conduct a traffic stop about 2:35 a.m. at NW 92 and Harvey Avenue. The driver pulled into a vacant house's driveway and ran away from the officer, police Capt. Dexter Nelson said.
The man and the officer struggled, resulting in the officer losing his firearm in the 300 block of NW 91. The man shot at the officer with the officer's firearm, Nelson said. The officer was not hit but did suffer minor injuries during the struggle.
The man was found hiding in a vacant house in the 300 block of NW 87. He was arrested by the police's tactical team about 8 a.m. No shots were fired by police during the incident, Nelson said.
The man suffered injuries when he broke into the vacant house. Both the officer and the man were treated by paramedics, Nelson said.
No names were released Saturday afternoon.
