A man was arrested Sunday after his vehicle crashed into an Oklahoma City apartment complex, police said.

About 8:20 a.m., police were called to Tammaron Village apartments, 11100 Roxboro Ave.

Police said John Paul Lange, 29, appeared to hit the gas pedal instead of the brake while attempting to park his SUV, and his vehicle ran into the apartment building. The building had minor structural damage, Oklahoma City police Capt. Dee Patty said. Two people who were inside the apartment were not injured, Patty said.

Lange attempted to remove his vehicle from the apartment building but was unsuccessful, police said. He eventually climbed out and fled to an upstairs apartment, where he was later taken into custody, police said.

Lange was arrested on a complaint of driving under the influence of alcohol, police said. has disabled the comments for this article.
