Man arrested for allegedly locking child in closet for interrupting video game

The Tulsa World reports that a father accused of locking his 3-year-old in a closet after she interrupted his video game was arrested Tuesday.

A maintenance worker at the Parkview Terrace Apartments, 1615 W. 59th St., found the girl after moving a bench used to barricade the child inside and called 911 around 9 a.m., police records show.

Her father, 27-year-old Daren Nashburn, reportedly told investigators he locked the child in the closet around 3 a.m. because she was throwing things, according to his arrest report.
