A man was arrested Tuesday on murder charges stemming from a drug-related double slaying Aug. 30, records show.

A man was arrested Tuesday on murder charges stemming from a drug-related double slaying Aug. 30, records show.

Joel Rosales Pina, 27, was charged Sept. 20 in the fatal shootings of Patrick Shawn, 27, and Kaylyn Kosofsky, 24, whose bodies were found about 8 p.m. in the parking lot of RiverGate Church, formerly Open Bible Fellowship, at 1439 E. 71st St.

Pina is accused of relaying an offer from his superiors in the drug trade to pay thousands of dollars to whoever would kill Shawn, who allegedly owed $43,000 in drug money, a court affidavit shows.
