A 19-year-old man is in custody after reportedly fatally stabbing another teenager during an east Tulsa back-to-school party, police said Sunday night.
Officers received a call around 9:20 p.m. at the 11500 block of East 38th Street indicating a man was lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds, Tulsa police spokesman Craig Johnson said. When police and paramedics arrived, they saw he had three stab wounds to his torso and immediately transported him to a nearby hospital, where Johnson said he died.
The suspect and victim, who is also 19, had a prior history of conflict, Johnson said. The suspect initially left the scene but returned just after officers began investigating, and he was detained without a struggle, he said.
