TULSA — Police have arrested a suspect in a fatal shooting outside of a Wal-Mart in Tulsa.
Authorities arrested 20-year-old Eric Santeliz early Tuesday for the Monday night shooting in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart. Santeliz is being held at the Tulsa County jail on a first-degree murder complaint, and court records don’t list an attorney.
Tulsa Police Sgt. Dave Walker says the shooting was the result of a failed robbery or drug deal. Police allege that Santeliz and another suspect were involved in an altercation with the victim, and a gunfight broke out.
Police say Santeliz was shot in the arm and the other suspect was shot in the leg. Authorities have not yet released the name of the second suspect.
The victim was pronounced dead at a Tulsa hospital.
