Aaron Travis Gibson, 26, Oklahoma City, was arrested Oct. 20 when police were called to Kickingbird Apartments, 1700 Kickingbird Road, according to a police report released Tuesday.

Police said they found the air conditioners in the back of his pickup.

Gibson first said he was answering an advertisement on Craig’s List that offered free air conditioners, according to the police report. He later said he picked up the air conditioners along the side of the road in Logan County, the report states.

The air conditioners were reported stolen from University of Central Oklahoma at 406 N Chartrand. They are valued at $1,200.

Several days earlier, a UCO police officer gave Gibson a trespass warning when he was found in the area, the Edmond police report states.
