Man arrested on murder complaint in Oklahoma City shooting

Antwion Courtez Martin, 20, was arrested Friday on complaints of murder and shooting with intent to kill. He is accused of fatally shooting Edmond James Tyree, 48, last week at an apartment at 524 N Rockwell Ave, Oklahoma City police said.

One man has been arrested and other arrests are expected in a fatal shooting Wednesday in northwest Oklahoma City, police said Monday.

Antwion Courtez Martin, 20, of Oklahoma City, was arrested Friday on complaints of murder and shooting with intent to kill.

Martin is accused of fatally shooting Edmond James Tyree, 48, and wounding Michael Joe Hale, 47, in an apartment at 524 N Rockwell Ave., police said.

Tyree was found dead on the living room floor of his apartment. Hale told investigators three men walked into Tyree's apartment and demanded the victims' phones, according to the affidavit. One of the three intruders shot each victim once, according to the affidavit.

Hale identified Martin as the shooter from a Facebook photo, according to the document.

No information concerning Martin's arrest was released because other arrests are pending, police Capt. Dexter Nelson said Monday.
