A man was charged Wednesday with trafficking illegal drugs after police found 174 pounds of marijuana in a car he was towing.

Jemain McCreary, 38, of Douglasville, Ga., was arrested July 23 after a traffic stop on westbound Interstate 40 in Oklahoma City. According to court documents, McCreay was pulling a car on a trailer and was straddling lanes on the highway.

During a traffic stop the police officer became suspicious when McCreary gave evasive answers when asked where he picked up the car and who it belonged to, according to court documents.

McCreary denied the officer consent to search the vehicle, but a K9 unit alerted the officer there were drugs in the car. In the trunk, officers found about 174 pounds of marijuana in several bricks, according to court documents.

McCreary was arrested and booked into Oklahoma County jail where he remains on $25,000 bail. has disabled the comments for this article.
