GERONIMO — A Waurika man died Saturday when the motorcycle he was riding on crashed as it was being pursued by Geronimo police about 11:15 p.m. on US Highway 277 near Baseline Road in Comanche County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Troopers said Zachary Lynn Richardson, 18, was a passenger on a motorcycle driven by Wolf Andrew Manuel, 21, of Lawton. Richardson died at the scene.

Manuel did not stop when police tried to pull him over, accelerating to more than 100 mph when police lost sight of the motorcycle. It was later found off the road on its side. Manuel was taken to Comanche County Memorial Hospital by helicopter in serious condition.
