Man dies after being hit by car on I-44 in Lawton

A 56-year-old man whose name was not released was struck by a car about 10:10 p.m. Sunday night while he was crossing Interstate 44, Lawton police said.

A 56-year-old man died Sunday night after he was struck by a car while crossing Interstate 44, police said.

About 10:10 p.m., the man, whose name was not released, was headed east on foot. He was struck by a northbound car taking the exit at Gore Boulevard. He died at the scene, police said.

The car's driver, Misty Yeats, 52, was arrested on complaints of driving while her license was revoked and causing a death while driving without a valid driver's license, police said.
