9:30 a.m. Police have released the name of a man who died from a Thursday night gunshot wound.

Michael Todd Hall, 40, of Oklahoma City died at OU Medical Center, police Master Sgt. Gary Knight reports.

Hall was shot about 6:55 p.m. Thursday at 1625 Fordson Drive near NW 16 and N Rockwell Avenue.

Police said he was shot by his brother Timothy Trueblood, 54, of Oklahoma City.

Trueblood was not arrested, and the shooting appears to have been justifiable, police said.

Police were told Hall was armed with a knife when he confronted his mother in the garage of the home and demanded money. Hall's mother refused and retreated into the house, Knight reports. Hall forced his way into the house and attacked his mother. During the attack Hall was shot by Trueblood. Police said the shooting appears to have been in defense of the mother.

Hall was taken to OU Medical Center where he died later. Trueblood was released after being interviewed by detectives.
