Man drowns on Illinois River outing

WATTS -- Officials have recovered the body of a man who drowned in the Illinois River while on a weekend church outing.

Ed Fite says the body of 28-year-old
Cesar Rodriguez Ortiz was pulled from the river Sunday. Fite says the man drowned near the Illinois River Ranch in Adair County after trying to swim across the river on Saturday.
Fite says Ortiz was an immigrant from
Mexico living in
Muskogee.
