CUSHING – A man was found fatally stabbed outside the Sin City bar early Thursday, police report.

Lonnie C. Bates, 38, was found in the parking lot, 711 N Steele Street, about 2 a.m. by a patron, a police news release reports. Bates had one stab wound.

Bates was taken to a Cushing hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead.

Police were able to determine that some type of disturbance occurred inside of the tavern then went into the parking lot.

Officers have identified a person of interest in connection with the stabbing, the news release reports. Police have interviewed several persons who said they were present or nearby when the stabbing occurred. Detectives are trying to locate others who may have more information related to this incident, the release states.

No arrests have been made.
