Man hospitalized after being rescued from hole at Claremore construction site

A construction accident at the site of the razed Rogers County Courthouse sent a man to the hospital Thursday, police said.

At about 11:45 a.m., a victim was pulled out of hole where drainage was being installed, said Jerry Smittle, a spokesman with the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office. Workers are building a parking/plaza area at the site of the old courthouse.

The man was flown to an area hospital, Smittle said. He had no immediate word on his condition.
