Man hit on Muskogee, Oklahoma, roadway later died, police report

A man was killed in the roadway on State Highway 69 when he was struck by a pickup. The pickup driver was not cited for any traffic violation.

— A pedestrian was struck by a pickup early Sunday and died later in the day, police said.

Shortly before 3 a.m., Faron Bruner, 46, of Muskogee, was in the middle of the left, northbound lane of U.S. 69.

A pickup, driven by Maria Ramos-Garza, 33, of Holland, Mich., struck Bruner. Ramos-Garza was not cited for any traffic violations, police said.

Bruner was taken to a Tulsa hospital where he died about noon Sunday, police said.

Police said they did not know why Bruner was walking in the road.
