Man injured in shooting

A man was shot in the parking lot of an apartment complex Tuesday night before driving himself to a restaurant where he was found by police, officials said. Norman police Capt. Tom Easley said police were first called about 7:30 p.m. to the Cedar Lake Apartments, 411 W Main, after witnesses reported hearing gunshots.

Easley said the victim, whose name was not released, was shot in the upper torso while behind the wheel of his car in the apartments' parking lot. He drove to Raising Cane's, 3716 W Main, where he was found and taken by paramedics to a hospital.

“He seems to be in pretty good shape, all things considered,” Easley said.

Police are still investigating and do not have any suspect information yet, Easley said.
