The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Paul Field died in the crash just east of Tulsa at 4:45 Thursday morning.

Troopers say a car driven by Ryan Mitchell of Tulsa crossed the center line and hit the rear wheels of a tractor-trailer rig then slammed head-on into Field's car.

Mitchell is hospitalized in serious condition. The driver of the rig wasn't injured.
