A man died early Tuesday after being struck by a pickup in what police are calling a hit-and-run.

Two people were walking eastbound on Cache Road near 52nd Street in the early morning hours Tuesday — one in the grass and one in the street. The man walking in the street, Troy McGee, 57, was hit by a pickup and suffered major trauma, police said.

McGee was taken to Comanche County Memorial Hospital and was pronounced dead about 2 a.m., police said. The other person was not injured.

The incident is being treated as a fatality hit-and-run, as investigators track down video surveillance evidence from surrounding businesses. Police said the pickup driver continued east on Cache road, but a description of the vehicle has yet to be released.
