UPDATE: Man on motorcycle hit deer in west Oklahoma City Thursday

8:30 a.m. A 45-year-old man was taken to OU Medical Center from W Reno Avenue and S Cemetery Road, said Lara O'Leary, Emergency Medical Services Authority spokeswoman. The man was not wearing a helmet. Police spokesman Master Sgt. Gary Knight said the man is expected to survive. Officers reported a buck was killed by the motorcycle.

6:46 a.m. A man riding a motorcycle was injured in a crash with a deer in west Oklahoma City Thursday morning, authorities report.

The crash was at W Reno Avenue and S Cemetery Road about 6:25 a.m., according to police dispatch reports.

A man was taken to OU Medical Center by ambulance, said Lara O'Leary, Emergency Medical Services Authority spokeswoman.
