Man shot in Bethany dies at hospital

A man in Bethany has died after he was shot in the chest at an apartment complex in the 7400 block of NW 22, according to the Bethany Police Department.

BETHANY — A Bethany man was killed after he was shot in the chest at his apartment complex in the 7400 block of NW 22, according to the Bethany Police Department.

Bethany police and firefighters responded to a medical call about 12:30 p.m. Thursday and found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to OU Medical Center.

Police said they are treating the area where the victim was found as a crime scene, but they are not sure if the shooting was self-inflicted or a criminal act.

The man's name was not released because his family has not been notified.
