A man died Saturday after he was shot multiple times in a dispute with a neighbor, Norman police said.

Ethan Johnson Spruill, 22, was arrested on a murder complaint and was taken to Cleveland County jail, Norman police Capt. Tom Easley said.

About 10:36 p.m., Norman police responded to a report of a disturbance in the 1800 block of Cherry Stone Street, which is south of W Lindsay near the Hollywood Shopping Center.

When police arrived, they found Donelle McCray Jr., 22, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Easley said.

McCray was taken to a hospital where he died.

Spruill was McCray's neighbor, and he was taken into custody immediately after the disturbance, Easley said. has disabled the comments for this article.
