Man sues city of Stillwater over zoning decision Published: March 22, 2013

A Stillwater businessman is suing the city after the City Council refused to rezone property on Mercury Avenue to allow construction of an apartment complex, according to The Stillwater NewsPress.

Robert Kerns called the refusal “discriminatory” and “unreasonable” in his lawsuit.

The NewsPress reports that the City Council rejected the request to rezone the property to residential multifamily on Feb. 21. On March 4, city councilors voted against a request to reconsider their decision.
