Man takes on deputies, police officer

DURANT -- The call to authorities said a man was carrying a gun on a local roadway.

Two Bryan County deputies and a Durant police officer responded, the Durant Daily Democrat reported.

At the scene, the lawmen saw the man and something more. There was a woman at the end of the road who had feinted, the newspaper reported.

A battle ensued when an officer was told he could enter a home where the man was and the door opened.
