BETHANY — A man who threw a brick at a Putnam City Schools police car Thursday morning was arrested, authorities report.

A campus police officer was at Lake Park Elementary School, 8221 NW 30, about 9:40 a.m. when a man drove a car at him head-on, Putnam City Schools Police Chief Mark Stout said. The man threw a brick out the window of the car and hit the police car, causing a minor dent.

The man sped off and crashed at NW 10 and N Council Road in Oklahoma City, where he was arrested, Stout said.

His name was not released.

The man told police he was using methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia was seized from the car, Stout said. He said the man will be taken to the Oklahoma County jail after he is treated for injuries.
