NORMAN — A man posing as a woman robbed the Arvest Bank branch at 1355 W Lindsey St. shortly after noon Friday, the FBI reports.
The man, wearing a shoulder-length, blond wig and dark sunglasses, passed a note to a teller stating he had a gun and demanding money. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, which the man put in a burgundy handbag before leaving the bank, Agent James E. Finch said.
The robber was last seen walking east, Finch said.
The robber is described as a white man in his mid-30s, between 5-foot-11 and 6-foot-2, weighing about 175 to 195 pounds with a thin build. He was wearing a gray vest, long-sleeve gray and turquoise shirt and blue jeans. He had on red lipstick and bright orange or pink running shoes.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the FBI at 290-7770. Callers may remain anonymous. The Oklahoma Bankers Association offers a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for robbing a member bank.
