A man and a woman were arrested Tuesday on complaints of child neglect after police found drugs and alcohol in a home with six teenagers.
Shannon Moore, 33, was arrested on complaints of child neglect and possession of marijuana. Matthew Holman, 35, was arrested on a complaint of child neglect.
About 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oklahoma City police executed a search warrant at a home in the 10000 block of S Douglas Avenue.
When officers entered the home, they found Moore and six teenagers. Police said the teenagers appeared to be high on marijuana, and Moore appeared to be intoxicated.
Officers found 5 grams of marijuana, a bottle of alcohol and 22 antidepressant pills. An officer also found LSD in the wallet of one teenager, police said.
According to a police report, the home was in poor shape with no working toilets, holes in the walls and only one working light.
Holman arrived at the home shortly after and told police the teenagers were friends of Moore’s child and often hang around the house and smoke marijuana and drink alcohol. Holman said he often stays at the home while the teens are there.
Both Moore and Holman told officers they do not provide the alcohol or marijuana to the juveniles.
Five of the teens were detained and released to their guardians, and one was taken to Cleveland County jail on an arrest warrant.
