Manny Ramirez homers as Round Rock tops RedHawks

— Former major league slugger Manny Ramirez homered and drove in three runs as the Round Rock Express beat the Oklahoma City RedHawks 11-8 on Tuesday night at Dell Diamond.

RedHawks outfielder George Springer continued his hot hitting, going 4 for 5 with two home runs and five RBIs. Marwin Gonzalez and Brandon Laird had three hits apiece for the RedHawks.

Jim Adduci added a homer and three RBIs for the Express.

RedHawks starter Wade LeBlanc (0-1) was tagged for 11 hits and nine runs in 3 1/3 innings. Evan Meek (3-4) got the win for Round Rock.

The three-game series continues at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday night. Brad Peacock (4-2, 2.89 ERA) takes the mound for the RedHawks. Former Oklahoma State right-hander Scott Richmond (2-2, 6.58) will start for the Express.
