Oklahoma City residents are invited to review a master plan for a MAPS 3 park to be built in the area dubbed as Core to Shore.

A preliminary master plan for the $130 million, 130-acre park, to be built a block south of Myriad Gardens, will be presented during a community meeting at 6 p.m. Jan. 24.

The meeting will be in the fourth floor auditorium of the Ronald J. Norick Downtown Library, 300 Park Ave.

The meeting will be posted on www.okc.gov by 4 p.m. the next day.

The park's designer, Hargreaves Associates, will facilitate the meeting.

“We are in the exciting final phases of the park's master plan process,” MAPS Program Manager David Todd said. “Proposed park amenities include a great lawn for concerts and festivals, a lake, walking trails and a large plaza. Details will be revealed at the meeting, so we hope for a good turnout.”

Construction is expected to begin later this year.

The park will be made up of a 40-acre upper segment and a 30-acre lower segment connected by the Skydance Bridge.

The park is within the boundaries of Hudson to the west, Robinson to the east, the future downtown boulevard to the north and the Oklahoma River on the south.
