MAPS momentum could keep going in Oklahoma City

The 1-cent MAPS for Kids sales tax will end with 2008, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be a paying lower sales tax.

As the MAPS for Kids tax expires, the Ford Center sales tax begins. Approved by voters in March, the penny tax will pay for improvements meant to make the Ford Center a competitive NBA arena.

But whether the MAPS name will live is something that remains to be decided.
