Marcus Smart may not be too keen on playing for the Utah Jazz, but the former Oklahoma State guard is definitely interested in Hollywood.
Smart will work out for the Los Angeles Lakers for a second time on Friday, joining Aaron Gordon (Arizona) and Elfrid Payton (Louisiana-Lafayette) as a returnee to Lakers draft workout sessions. The trio will be joined by Nik Stauskas (Michigan) and D-League prospect P.J. Hairston.
According to Lakersnation.com, Smart has been linked to the Lakers for quite some time as a potential backcourt mate to Kobe Bryant.
Smart is coming off a he-said-he-said in which he posted via Twitter that he did not receive any interest from the Utah Jazz, while Jazz executives said they've tried numerous times to contact Smart's representatives to set up a workout. The Jazz are slated to pick at No. 5 overall, while the Lakers have the seventh overall selection in the June 26 NBA Draft.
