Christiansen has won several awards in oil and gas law, including the Eugene Kuntz Award, co-sponsored by the Oklahoma Bar Association and OU's law school, and the 2009 Distinguished Service Award from the Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association of Oklahoma.

Christiansen will colead the firm's Energy and Oil and Gas Industry Group with Tim Bomhoff.
