Marshall Brewing set for 2013 Oktoberfest release

Nick Trougakos Published: September 5, 2013

Oktoberfest beers have been arriving on liquor store shelves in Oklahoma for weeks now, but if you want to try Marshall Brewing Co.’s version, tonight is your night.

A release party for Marshall Oktoberfest is set for 5 p.m. today at Tulsa’s Fassler Hall, 304 S Elgin.

Marshall’s Wes Alexander said this year’s recipe is consistent with the one brewmaster Eric Marshall developed back 2008.

“Eric nailed it in ’08 and it has not changed,” Alexander said, adding that the beer was lagered for 45 days and is “clean, smooth and delicious.”

Fassler Hall is expected to feature five tap handles of Marshall Oktoberfest, and offer 1/2 and full-liter servings.

Alexander said the beer will be distributed in Marshall’s full distribution footprint, including Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.
