Marshall Brewing Co. announced today plans for a grand opening celebration Nov. 22 to commemorate the enactment of House Bill 1341, the bill that allows brewers in Oklahoma to serve on-premise samples. The event will feature the 2013 release of the popular Big Jamoke Porter, plus other special beers and food.

Here’s a press release from Marshall with more specifics:

TULSA — Marshall Brewing will officially open for brewery tours and sampling Friday, November 22, 2013 from 2PM – 7PM. Thanks to Oklahoma HB 1341, licensed brewers are now permitted to offer limited samples on premise.

To celebrate, Marshall Brewing, 618 S. Wheeling, Tulsa, OK, has planned a Grand Opening featuring the official launch of 2013 Big Jamoke Porter. The following limited release Marshall beers will be on draft: Big Jamoke Porter, Cask-conditioned Topeca Coffee Big Jamoke Porter, El Cucuy, and a German-style Altbier. In addition, our friends from Andolini’s Pizzeria will be on site selling hot, delicious, made-on-the-spot pizza by the slice.

Oklahoma HB 1341 sponsor Representative Glen Mulready(R-Tulsa & Creek County) will be on hand to tap the Cask-conditioned Topeca Coffee Big Jamoke Porter holding the first official samples to be served at 2PM.

Tours and samples are free, with the option to pay $5 to receive a commemorative glass snifter with a portion of the proceeds being donated to our charity of the month, The Autism Center of Tulsa. Spots on our public tours are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tours are approximately 30 minutes and detail the brewing process.

Marshall Brewing Company began offering beer commercially in May of 2008 ushering in a new era of Tulsa brewing. Under a production microbrewery business model, Marshall Brewing Company focuses on handcrafting full strength ales and lagers.
