One of the cooler events on the Oklahoma City beer calendar is set for Sunday, and you better hope you already have your tickets.
The annual Mashed In Homebrewer’s Showcase is set for 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at TapWerks, and the complete allotment of free passes available at The Brew Shop, Learn to Brew and TapWerks is now gone.
For those of you who scored tickets, you can expect numerous beers to sample from several dozen area homebrewers. In fact, yours truly will be there pouring. I’m hoping to have as many as four beers available for sample (one is still in the secondary fermenter, so I may be pushing it a little close).
I offer no promises of excellence with my beers — I’ve been homebrewing a little more than two years now — but I know that many of the people offering their beer are award-winners and extremely talented beer-makers.
This promises to be chance to a try a wide array of beer styles — many pushing boundaries with recipes and ingredients that you don’t typically see in commercial beer styles.
So, why am I telling you all this if you can’t get tickets anymore? That’s because I have a pair of tickets I will give away to a lucky Facebook fan. All you have to do is like the FB post associated with this blog post for a chance to win the tickets. Good luck!
