On four third-quarter series, the Oklahoma State defense had allowed a 3-yard touchdown drive, intercepted a pass and forced a punt. But on the fourth series, Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli cut through a gap and came face-to-face with OSU safety Quinton Moore. Masoli lowered his head, knocked Moore on his tail and zipped 41 yards for a touchdown.
And the OSU defense had lost all its momentum. The Cowboy ‘D' came up with another turnover on an Oregon miscue, then a big goal-line stand, but otherwise couldn't slow down the Ducks the rest of the night. BY SCOTT WRIGHT
