PRYOR — A dog that worked for the Mayes County Sheriff’s Office was found dead Monday.

“Max,” a black Labrador retriever, was reported missing from his kennel in Strang about 3 p.m. Sunday, Undersheriff Albert McKee said.

“We don’t know if he got out of his kennel or someone took him out,” he said.
