Mayville State names new head men's hoops coach

MAYVILLE, N.D. (AP) — Mayville State University in North Dakota has named a new head men's basketball coach.
Dan DeWitt has been an assistant coach at St. Cloud State in Minnesota. The Lino Lakes, Minn., native played his college ball at Northern State University in South Dakota.

DeWitt succeeds Justin Johnson at Mayville State. The school announced in March that Johnson would not return, after compiling a 51-89 record in five seasons as the Comets head coach.
