McAlester man accused of making meth near day care center

A McAlester man accused of manufacturing methamphetamine near a day care center has been charged with multiple drug-related felonies, according to the McAlester News-Capital.

James Dean Schoogins, 21, was allegedly manufacturing meth and selling drugs out of his apartment about 267 feet from the day care center.

He was charged Feb. 19 in Pittsburg County District Court.
