HBO had 21 nominations, followed by NBC 15, Fox 13, TNT 12, CBS 11, MLB Network 11, ABC seven, NFL Network five, Showtime four and Fox Sports Net three. FX, TBS and Versus each had two. Nominated as best play-by-play announcers were Mike Breen, ABC; Joe Buck, Fox; Mike Emrick, NBC; Al Michaels, NBC; Jim Nantz, CBS, and Mike Tirico, ESPN. Game analyst nominations went to Cris Collinsworth, NBC; Jon Gruden, ESPN; Jim Kaat, MLB; Tim McCarver, Fox; Phil Simms, CBS, and Jeff Van Gundy, ABC.
