KOCB-34 is carrying four Dallas Cowboys preseason games, beginning with a 9 p.m. game Thursday at the San Diego Chargers.

The other games are 6 p.m. Aug. 16, vs. Baltimore Ravens; 6 p.m. Aug. 23, at Miami Dolphins; and 7 p.m. Aug. 28, vs. Denver Broncos.

All games will be preceded by a one-hour “Countdown to Kickoff” pregame show.

Tyler Media has flipped KEBC AM1560/FM92.9 to NBC Sports Radio as “The Franchise 2.” The station had been a comedy station. Tyler also owns The Franchise 107.7.

DirecTV has reached an agreement with ESPN to carry the SEC Network when it launches Aug. 14. The SEC Network plans to air at least 45 SEC football games this season.

Carter Blackburn, a former ESPN announcer, is returning to CBS Sports as the lead play-by-play announcer for CBS Sports Network. Blackburn also will call college football for CBS Sports, including SEC games on the weeks the network has two SEC telecasts.

Fox Sports has added former Notre Dame and NFL quarterback Brady Quinn as a studio and game analyst. In the booth, Quinn will pair with Tim Brando for college games and Dick Stockton on NFL assignments.

ESPNU and SEC Network will televise the Kentucky Men’s Basketball “Big Blue Bahamas” tour Sunday through Aug.17 in which the NCAA runner-up will compete in six games vs. international opponents in Nassau, Bahamas. Jay Bilas will call each game along with play-by-play commentators Kevin Connors (ESPNU) and Dave Neal (SEC Network).
