Media notes: OKC native Jimmy Walker to be featured on special on rising golf stars

Oklahoma City native Jimmy Walker will be featured in a CBS Sports special on the rising stars of golf at 1 p.m. Sunday. Jordan Spieth, Jason Day, Harris English and Jonas Blixt also will be featured on “PGA Tour 2014: Imprints,” produced by PGA Tour Entertainment.

At age 35, Walker is enjoying a breakout season, leading the FedExCup standings with three victories during the 2013-14 season. Walker, who was born in Oklahoma City and moved to Texas when he was 11, will show off his home in San Antonio, where he shares his off-course passion for astrophotography, using high powered telescopes and computer technology to capture images from deep space.

•Fox Sports Southwest has picked up the Texas Rangers at Los Angeles Angels game at 9 p.m. Friday. KTXA-21, the Dallas station that normally carries the Friday night games, instead will air Game 6 of the Mavericks-Spurs series, which will air nationally on ESPN. KTXA has picked up the Red Sox-Rangers game at 7 p.m. May 10.

•In celebration of Wrigley Field’s 100 year anniversary, ESPN’s telecast of the St. Louis Cardinals-Chicago Cubs game at 7 p.m. Sunday will be broadcast from a set in the right-field bleachers. Dan Shulman and analyst John Kruk will call the game with reporter Buster Olney.
