Media notes: TNT will announce NBA All-Star starters at 6 p.m. Thursday

Thunder star Kevin Durant, who has been leading NBA All-Star fan voting among Western Conference players, will likely be named at 6 p.m. Thursday when TNT announcers the starters in a special one-hour edition of “TNT NBA Tip-Off.” Ernie Johnson will host the pregame show with analysts Grant Hill, Shaquille O'Neal and Kenny Smith.

Following the pregame show, TNT will air a doubleheader as Miami hosts the Los Angeles Lakers at 7 p.m. Normal studio analyst Charles Barkley will join Marv Albert, Steve Kerr and reporter David Aldridge on the broadcast. Portland hosts Denver in the second game at 9:30 p.m. (Kevin Harlan, Reggie Miller and reporter Craig Sager).

Short takes

— The Thunder will make another ESPN appearance at 7 p.m. Wednesday at conference-leading San Antonio (Mike Breen, Jeff Van Gundy and reporter Heather Cox). The second game will be Indiana at Phoenix at 9:30 p.m. (Dave Pasch, Hubie Brown and reporter J.A. Adande).

— Showtime's “Inside The NFL,” 8 p.m. Wednesday, will include NFL Films' highlight packages of the AFC and NFC finals, including the audio from the microphone worn by Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, now famous for his brash postgame comments.

— Night owls can watch the Australian Open semifinals Wednesday night and early Thursday. The women's semifinals will air from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. on ESPN2, and the men's semifinals from 2:30-5 a.m. on ESPN (reaired 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday on ESPN2).
